Kalona, Iowa – September 19, 2025 – If you’ve driven past the corner of Highway 1 and 22 lately, you’ve probably slowed down a little to take it all in. The trucks, the fresh concrete, the outline of what’s to come—it’s a conversation happening all over Kalona. People are talking to their neighbors, calling their friends, and sharing with family: “Have you seen the progress of all that's happening in Kalona?”

That excitement is exactly what makes building in a small town so special. It’s not just about pouring concrete and raising walls—it’s about creating something the whole community has ownership in.

We’re thrilled to share that the underground utilities are complete enough to start building, the concrete foundation has been poured, and framing has officially begun! Next week, the walls of Dutch Country Table will start rising from the foundation—a visible sign of just how close we are to welcoming guests into a space designed to bring people together.

The anticipation is building, and every nail and beam represents more than just construction. It’s the heartbeat of a community looking forward to new memories, meals, and moments together.
